AMD asks Master for more disclosure

Please Sir, Open Pandora's Box

CHIP FIRM Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has written a letter to the Special Master in its antitrust case against Intel asking him to allow greater disclosure of subpoenad documents.

A number of subpoenad firms including Lenovo, Phoenix and some distributors don't want the world+dog to see too much about their dealings with the X86 microprocessor companies.

AMD and the class lawyers in the action penned a letter to Special Master Vincent J. Poppiti asking him to modify a paragraph of the proposed protective order or to issue an edict construing that subpoenad documents can only be described as confidential discovery material when it's shown it would cause a firm "clearly defined and serious injury".

The case continues. And continues. And will continue. ยต
