Monarch Computers is already selling dual core Opterons on their website. Now it won't come cheap but according to their website, its trained and certified techs will review every order to ensure complete compatibility. The entry price combo consisting of an ARIMA HDAMB 8111 motherboard and one dual core Opteron 265 CPU is a cool $1199.99. Only 90 days warranty though. Now if you're really power hungry, buy yourself a Quad Opteron Combo for nearly 12 grand; again at monarch computers. For that price, you get eight core running at 2.2GHz with 8MB total L2 cache. Motherboard used is a Tyan S4882UG2NR 8131.
eWaggle is selling a 2.5-inch Portable Media Centre with a 40GB HDD. It can play up to 54 hours of DiVX. It is also compatible with VOB files, AVI, MP3, JPG and WMV formats. At $189, it is not that expensive as it comes with a host of IO and incorporates its own Operating system plus it comes with a remote control. Reviewed it some times back I believe. µ
* ERRATUMin yesterday's article: The 18-inch TFT is on sale only in the UK for £95 not $95. Thanks also to Leon for telling me that the monitors do have cosmetic damage and that CRS charge £16 for delivery. BTW, only two left.
