Wed Dec 07 2005, 11:55
BELEAGUERED Sony BMG and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) said that a further security problem with some music CDs have been found and fixed.

According to news.com, the problem is related to a different set of copy protection software made by a firm called Sunncomm.

Like the recent debacle, it opened a potential back door for hackers to capture users' computers.

The EFF congratulated Sony on moving quickly to shut the door before the horse had bolted.

Sony gives information on how to shut the door here, while the Cnet story is here. µ
