DELL FACES further flak from its arch enemy Hewlett Packard, the Wall Street Journal said.

It quotes an HP senior vice president who said the firm is to expand its presence in 100 extra Indian cities and 180 Chinese cities in the next two quarters.

HP already has a dominant position in the Indian market on peripherals after being involved in a serious set to with Samsung over the last few years.

The report said HP will expand its presence by making partnerships with retailers. That's still a limited market, Via's India country manager Sanjay Pir told the INQ earlier this year.

Dell has always wanted to extend its presence into the Chinese market but has, to date, only had limited success. µ
