MIGHTY MICROSOFT has lost its first round of appeals against South Korea's antitrust regulator.

It will now appeal to the Seoul High Court, but will comply to the KFTC's ruling in the meantime, a SpokesVole said. This means complying with its request to provide two separate versions of Windows from August 24.

The commission, in a final ruling in February, fined the software giant $34 million and ruled that it abused its dominant market position in South Korea by tying Media Player and Messenger to Windows. µ
