Channel expects a rosy 2007

Euro survey suggests
Mon Apr 02 2007, 13:07
IT LOOKS positive that 2007 will be a better year for the European IT market than the last, according to some findings of this year's European Technology Survey by IT Europa.

The survey has found that over 70 per cent of all the big European channel organisations are feeling brassy about business this year, while over two thirds of those asked reckon there will be steady increases in revenues, orders and profits.

Assessed vendors included big names like Sun, Intel, Dell, Cisco, Fujitsu Siemens and IBM, and spanned 35 European countries.

Alan Norman, managing director at IT Europa, reckons that the survey proves that the European IT crowd is healthy and booming, while it also "underlines the strength of the software and services sectors and the importance of brands, with most of the leading vendors achieving strong rankings."

Wallets out, lads. If you absolutely must read the full report, it's available for just under two grand. Blimey. µ
