Coca Cola ad sweats IT blood in GPS fizzy shocker

IN A STARTLING example of the "awesome power of juxtaposition"™, two important announcements from Coca Cola coincided today.

The first, and we missed this seeing as Piccadilly Circus isn't our favourite spot, was the "unveiling" of a big high tech weather responding screen just near Eros, the famous god of annoying love-mischief, which you can read about here.

Apparently, the high tech screen can sweat, burst into tears, commiserate with Londoners as they attempt to catch the tube, and goodness knows what else.

But, more astonishingly, Coca Cola will use satellite technology to find people who buy "special" cans of soda, in a competition where the winners can get the Hummer H2 autos that Charlie so detests, and AMD so loves.

The second story, which you can find here, involves possible violations of the UK data protection act - which doesn't apply outside our borders, that is to say, shores.

Isn't serendipity wonderful? [Not as wonderful as the awesome power of juxtaposition", Ed.]ยต
