Blue Screen of Death hits petrol pump

Reboot your computer
Sun Dec 21 2003, 10:52
A READER took this picture below at a credit/debit card petrol station in Brighton.

He said the instant he started taking fuel, the error occurred.

For those who don't want to peer at the message, it is a standard BSOD message which says that if you get the Stop screen, you should re-start your computer. You should also check the hard drive and run CHKDSK/F to see if it's corrupted if you get the message again.

And if this fails, consult your Getting Started manual for more info on "troubleshooting Stop errors".

Obviously, this is a little tricky to do if you've only got a credit card and no CTRL ALT DEL keys on the system, never mind admin rights.

Windows everywhere. Sheesh! ยต
