Apple to launch IBM-based Power Mac soon

Includes Hypetransport
Mon Jun 09 2003, 08:32
REPORTS AT web site Appleinsider claim that Apple wil introduce the Power Mac G5 three weeks from now.

The site claims that the Power Mac G5 will, as expected, use IBM's 64-bit PPC 970 microprocessor, and also support DDR 400, Firewire, AGP 8X and other features, including AMD sponsored "hypertransport".

The report, if true, means that Apple will have a Mac with a processor which will go a little close to hell for leather than its current offerings.
