The presentation is a "charm offensive" intended to divert hacks everywhere from paying attention to Geforce 4 - as if that were possible.
And you can find the presentation here.
The controversial part of the presentation has ATI questioning Nvidia Geforce 4 technology just like Nvidia questioned the Kyro 2 chip in a very popular/unpopular document that was floating around the internet a few months back.
ATI calls Geforce 4 - Geforce 3.5 and I guess that this 0.5 goes on the additional vertex shader since most of the card is quite the same.
Normally, computer companies do not comment on their competitors' products but in the graphics business, bare fist boxing in public seems to be the order of the day.
ATI also stresses that its HOS implementation N patches has some support, while Nvidia has removed that support from its drivers, as we reported before.
Well I guess this all means ATI feels vulnerable and we will see how fast their overclocked R8500 with 128MB might be. ยต
