Xbox 360 Origen secret finally revealed

Tuesday, 27 September 2005, 15:18
MICROSOFT has been harking on about its Origen viral marketing campaign for a while now, sending us a rather confusing press release last night and launching the rather acid-fuelled website this afternoon, ending months of speculation.

Xbox 360 fans were going nuts to try and figure out what Origen was, with hints that it might be anything from the announcement of Halo 3 through the launch of Xbox 360 stores in major cities around the world. The truth, as revealed today in what could be considered either an ingenious or just extremely annoying website it turns out is somewhat less glamorous.

Origen is in fact a competition to go and play the Xbox 360 before everyone else. They could have just stuck a few golden tickets n crisp packets, but ohh no, they had to get a few web designers at a rave party and see what they could come out with… µ
