Jetway system allows two users on same PC

A novel idea this
Wed Jan 14 2004, 08:58
TAIWANESE mobo maker Jetway claimed its Mini Q765 TWIN barebones system allows two users to work on one PC system.

The firm said its "magic twin" feature is configured for two users operating simultaneously on a Windows XP PC.

The machine comes with Y cables for PS/2 ports and the Magic Twin XP two user software, as well as dual VGA. That means, Jetway claims, that the barebone system, which comes with CPU, memory and hard drive, only needs to be equipped with two keyboards, two mice and two displays to complete the novel idea.

The motherboard in the barebones system uses Socket A processors, supports two DDR 333 memory modules, has dual Firewire, and four USB ports, as well as two serial connectors and a parallel interface.

Jetway is selling the skeletal system at around £125 excluding VAT, but the dual head VGA, PS/2 Y cables and the twinning software come with the product.

We've a question for Jetway. Does this mean you need two Windows XP licences? The firm said it will get back to us. µ
