Turks find the Web full of wonga

Amazing what you'll find when you lift up a carpet

ACCORDING TO THE Turkish Daily News, some Turkish crystal ball gazers (consultants) have discovered the secrets of the Internet advertising revenue model. They are marching along to the tune of "build it and they will come ..."

The Editor-in-chief of Odatv.com thinks, "in the United States, the connection is not below 100MB." Not sure what this Turkish wizard of bytedom is smoking but it isn't same as marketing person over at my ISP. 'Cause my ISP won't claim that sorta speed for anybody - no matter how much you pay 'em. .

There are approximately 60 Internet news portals in Turkey, and the top news portals account for some of the most visited web sites in that nation. Accordingly, advertising has also increased at an exponential rate. With an ad capacity of $40 million, Internet portals aim to reach a market of $260 million within six years.

The click-through claims by some of the Turkish news portals are almost up there with the INQminds server. Wonder how that would hold up if we put them through the wringer of independent testing? ยต

I am sure Turks would fail in independent testing

Turkey is a funny country

Turkey is one of these Middle Eastern countries that try to copy the Western countries in every way

They can copy and make 10000 portals trying to imitate Western news sites
but
the freedom of speech and democracy in this country is still a very questionable matter

European Union is very displeased about their progress
and the chances of becoming a EU member are becoming lower and lower

For me Turkey is a country of Hypocrites and copy-cats

They try to prove to the world that they are something that they just are NOT

Turkey stop trying copying the Western societies

Go pray to Allah like good muslims that you are and to your extremists Politicians that killed and expelled thousands of Greek immigrants, Armenians and Kurds...even if you still trying denying today

And for sure this unbiased comment...

...comes from Greece. Give it a rest dude. It's really funny how when you write the word "Turkey" on the web Greeks come flaming in. So passe, so primitive--and futile.
