Ooh, the excitement mounts

HERE'S ONE to watch out for in January - Polish software house 4Neurons has announced the release of its Analogue Vista Clock, an alarm clock that runs on the Windows desktop.

4Neurons boasts that the alarm clock is both of "outstanding quality" and is "awesome" - sporting such features as ignoring mouse and keyboard input, changing the size and position of the clock and the ability to change the hour of the alarm and more.

The clock comes with two Vista-style skins but registered users of the product will be able to download more off the official website, or make their own skins to contribute to what is surely going to be a massive userbase.

As is expected from a piece of alarm clock software, you can pick whatever sounds you fancy on your PC to be your alarm, or you can be really exciting and choose one of the five built in sounds. 4Neuron also mentions that you can define which days of the week you want your alarm to be played, which is somewhat important, really. The clock will also wake up your PC in time for the alarm if you've got your box switched off.

A trial version is available at the website here. The clock costs $9 at the moment, but only for January. Afterwards it'll set you back fifteen bucks. µ
