COW FIRM, Gateway has launched its first range of Chinese PCs.

It joined up with Digital China to unveil what it says are "premium" notebook and desktop PCs for customers in China.

The computers will be flogged through retail outlets throughout the populous republic, the firm said.

In a statement Gateway's CEO Ed Coleman was blamed for saying: "China is home to some of the world's most savvy computer users and we're confident they will recognise the value Gateway brings to this market." µ
