Win a $100K custom motorcycle

And memory, SFF odds 'n' sods

A BUNCH OF really cool things have been tipping up lately. Each might just about warrant an article of its own, but not here at your supersoaraway INQ.

Here we go:

Over at OCZ we spied the new Value Pro Series of memory. This is PC2-4200 memory in 512MB, 1GB and 2GB modules priced lower than the usual gamer fare. The part we found interesting was that it comes with a heatspreader, a first in this class of part as far as we have seen.

Next up goes about as far away from value pricing as you can get, a custom Orange County Choppers motorcycle. Boxx is giving one away at SIGGRAPH this year, and you don't have to do much to register. Stop by their booth and that is about it. If you are not going, simply remember that in a month and a few days, August 2 to be exact, you can sign up on their web site. If you grab on to their leg and howl 'Please!!!' in a pitiful way, they might just let you enter twice. Try it and let us know.

Last up we have Shuttle with its new XPC SD31P, an i945 based SFF box. What makes this one stand out is that it is dual core ready, not a bad deal for a shoebox, and I think this is the first DC SFF on the market. It also has a Sound Blaster Live! audio system, and all the usual Shuttle goodness. If you want a SFF box, you can do a lot worse than this one. µ
