IA32 has a different can of worms - Bob Colwell, former chief architect at Intel
It's an eight pipeline card with a 350MHz engine clock and 256MB DDR memory clocked at 600MHz. This card uses a 256 bit memory interface and should give Radeon X800GT a run for its money. The only difference is that the Radeon X800GT has been available for weeks and is soon to be replaced with X1600PRO and XT cards, while Nvidia still hasn't manage to bring any of its cards to market.
We don't have any timing on the Asus card but you can find all the details here while you can find the PNY card listed here but with slightly different clock speeds. It has 325MHz GPU and 700MHz for the memory but this one should cost around 190+ not $150 as sources close to Nvidia suggested in summer. On a second look, the PNY card is actually AGP so that may or may not explain the price difference.
However, Geforce 6800 standard versions are available for just abour 200 in Euroland, £140 inc VAT in the UK, or just over $200 for a 256MB card in the USA.
I must mention Nvidia's key argument - it's Shader Model 3.0 compatible. µ
