Alienware SLI notebook - order now, get it late June

Nvidia postpones availability
Friday, 12 May 2006, 11:00
NVIDIA introduced Mobile SLI at E3. Alienware was among the first to announce its systems and you can go instantly on their web site and try to configure and order one.

You can even pay for it up front, but you won't get one at least until the middle of June. As soon as you choose Mobile SLI in you notebook, you will be warned that it "May delay your order".

Even if you choose the alternative 256MB Nvidia Geforce Go 7900 GS you will also learn that it won't change the situation. The machine won't arrive before 20th of June in this case.

Both Aurora m9700 and Aurora mALX are Turion 64-ready machines so the eventul launch date for this might also delay the order. The bottom line is that you will have to wait for some time.

American order links can be found here and here. We don't think the delay is Alienware's fault, we are certain that it is Nvidia's fault. µ
