TAWANESE OUTFIT Kingmax Digital has just released what they are claiming is the first 1GB microSD with Hi-Speed SLC flash.

The outfit is banking on the fact that phones, cameras and other gizmos will start needing shedloads more memory. MicroSD is an ultra-small, removable flash memory card format originally based on SanDisk's TransFlash card format. The Kingmax uses single level cell memory which it claims gives much faster Read-Write speeds.

No price is mentioned in the press release here. µ
