THE UK Home Office said two people have been appointed to a pivotal role to steer through the implementation of a bouncers and wheel clampers (BAWC) act of parliament.

Hazel Blears, minister of state for crime reduction, and the and policing and community safety (CRAPACS), said she has appointed Peter Dyke and Wendy Towers to be board members of the Security Industry Authority.

Dyke has "a wealth of experience" while Towers has "wide HR experience" in the private sector.

For three years they will help to regulate wheel clampers, private eyes, and "door supervisors", or bouncers as they are known in the trade.

Towers and Dyke will set raise professional standards by ensuring that wheel clampers follow a detailed code of practice, said Blears, the MP for Salford. The government did not reveal in its statement how much the Czar and Czarina will get paid. µ
