NORTON INTERNET Security provided by Yahoo! is a co-branded offering intended to promote Symantec's wares to Yahoo!'s massive audience. The package can be downloaded for $49.99 as opposed to the normal price of $69.95.

Included in the suite are Norton AntiVirus , Norton Personal Firewall, Norton Parental control and Norton AntiSpam.

The deal, which includes a 30-day free trial will be promoted in the Yahoo! toolbar as well as on Yahoo! Search.

The pair will soon be launching Norton Spyware Scan for Yahoo! Toolbar and Yahoo! Online Protection. The latter basically combines the anti-virus and firewall products and will be offered through Yahoo! partners such as BT Yahoo! in the UK.

The joint promotion is seen as a counter to Microsoft's launch of its Microsoft launched its Onecare security suite and AOL's partnership with McAfee for Total Care.
