Friday, 12 May 2006, 08:26
A HACKER who broke into the New York Times in 2002 is in trouble with the FBI for refusing to give the agency a sample of his DNA.

As part of his two year probation, Adrian Lamo was supposed to give the Feds a blood sample.

However, he has told them that giving blood is against his religion, although he is happy to give them spit or anything else that will provide his DNA information.

According to Lamo's brief the FBI wants its sample in blood which is "Which is, you know, kind of in the Dark Ages."

She didn't say want Lamo's religion was.

Although we are not quite sure what religion allows you to modify a news story so that Dmitry Sklyarov, a Russian computer programmer who was facing US charges for cracking an Adobe Systems eBook copy-protection scheme was facing the death penalty. This was another of Lamo's.
