Nvidia Quad SLI still waits for working drivers

As the Geforce 7900 GX2 drops to €369

THE OLD Quad SLI card, Geforce 7900 GX2 has dropped in price to €369. This card hasn't been very successful for Nvidia and even its performance in Quad SLI mode kind of sucked. Still, that can only be half as bad as trying to use the two new versions in Quad SLI, which sucketh even more.

Now you can go out and buy two of the older cards for €738.

Much shorter, cooler versions of the Geforce 7950 GX2 are selling for €530 plus. For these cards you don't need a monster PSU, monster case, they will just work. You still cannot use the two in quad SLI as the drivers aren't available yet. We installed it in our test bed but ended up with a continual case of crashing.

You can jump to arlt.com store and buy some of the remaining historically important 7900 GX2 cards here and here. µ
