Adaware 6 released

Clear out the buttonfluff in your Windows navel
Friday, 7 February 2003, 10:05
LAVASOFT has just released the latest version of its spy software killed, Ad-Aware 6.0.

The software hunts down advertising and tracking components by scanning the Windows registry, hard drives, and other parts of your machine.

If you use a Windows machine and haven't tried this anti-spyware software, or trackware, we'd suggest that you give it a go - you might be staggered to find the amount of Internet belly-fluff that's accumulated in your Windows navel.

Lavasoft has also given its site a bit of a facelift. You can find its website here.

Another alternative to Adaware is Spybot Search and Destroy, which we've used here and is highly automated. You can find that program here. ยต
