G80 to sample in November

We expected the chip a little bit earlier but we learned that Nvidia fiddled about with some plans. We also learned that G80 is likely to sample in November time and there is a big chance that you should be able to buy one sometime during that month.

We also learned that most specifications such as a 1500MHz clock are far from true and I have to remind you that we are talking about a 90 nanometre chip only, so don't expect miracles from the clock speeds. It won't be more than 700MHz and we strongly believe it will end up even lower than that.

R600, the next generation ATI is already pushed for January/February time, or to be on the safe side we can simply say Q1 2007. µ
