HD overclocking coming soon

Hardware Roundup Plus AMD X2 Laptop photos

FRENCH WEBSITE Presence PC has some more news about the RAM Disk solution proposed by Gigabyte. The iRam should retail for around $50 or less than £30. It will be connected via a SATA connector therefore behaving like a real HDD. It is compatible only with DDR right now but will soon accept DDR2 as well... Hmmm... Seems you'll be able to overclock your hard disk sooner than we thought.

PC Stats checks the MSI 661FM3-V motherboard which is a mATX motherboard for socket 775 Pentium IV. Its chipset, the SIS661FX integrates the SIS Mirage graphic module. It's not your top of the range motherboard so don't expect a lot from it. Still a Celeron might overclock pretty well on it.

Guys from Matbe have some interesting news and photos from Computex. First, photos of a nine-lbs laptop featuring a dual core AMD A64 X2. Most certainly the fastest laptop in the world. Then more photos of the VIA SLI version using two 6600GT which, if ever it was launched would shave 25% off similar nForce SLI boards prices. Last but not least, six photos of the Sapphire Radeon X850XT blizzard cooling technology which uses a Gallium metal cooler. Matbe also hinted that Intel is interested in that cooling technology.

Dan has got himself in a strange odyssey. That of testing for those noisy, clickey and frankly kitsch outdated IBM keyboards. These M version weight more than four pounds and some even come with a track ball. Anywau, go back the years with this one.

OCinside.de reviews the Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro motherboard which is a s754 based nForce 3 motherboard. They also checks the Chaintech VNF3-250 s754 motherboard. Could one of those two motherboards be the puuuurrfect match to a Socket 754 Turion or a Mobile Athlon 2800+. They are both very good and time proof components which should easily support even dual core Semprons when they come in. µ
