Intel to reach 100,000 employees during 2006

It's a question of time
Tuesday, 28 March 2006, 09:27
INTEL PLANS TO break the magical 100,000 barrier by the end of this year. The company currently employs around 99,900 folk around the world.

In comparison, AMD from Sunnyvale currently employs around 10.000 people, while both ATI and Nvidia employ a far smaller number than 10,000. Captain Canuck employs around 2,600 red helpers, while the Green Goblin hovers just above 3000 green helpers.

They're not real men. They don't have fabs.

While 100,000 employees may sound impressive, bear in mind that Hon Hai Foxconn- employs around 250,000 people.

We forecast a boost in the number of in-house hacks at Intel's Circuit News to cope with the extra coverage all these people need. ยต
