Paris Hilton follows Intel's lead

Attempts to trademark letter P
Mon Aug 30 2004, 07:53
PROFESSIONAL BLONDE Paris Hilton is attempting to take a leaf from the book of the mighty Intel.

According to court documents found here, Hilton has filed to trademark the letter P in much the same way that Intel attempted to trademark the letter I.

While you might think that this has little to do with IT, and is just another excuse to take the "p" out of a little rich girl, the court documents reveal that our Paris has internet and musical ambitions.

They show that Paris's "p" will apply to "magnetic data carriers, recording discs audio and visual and the transmission and reproduction of sound images".

Perhaps it's time for Intel to try trademark the letter I again. Because if then decided to invest in Paris's assets it would have total control of the use of IP. µ
