Kode 5 Quake 4 tournament hots up

Games Convention 2006 Children play Quake 4 for money
Friday, 25 August 2006, 16:39
WE witnessed one of the Quake 4 games that are taking place here in Leipzig. Later today there should be a kid that will get some serious money and walk away as champion.

The rules are simple: two chaps play three maps for fifteen minutes. Whoever has the most frags wins the map and you need to win two from three to go further.

We watched USA chap versus a Dutch chap and it was a tight match.

Kode 5 says it organised this tournament in Europe because China doesn't want to have violent games played on its soil. The Warcraft 3 finals will be held in China, however, later in September.

AMD, Foxconn, AMD, Corsair, Razr are among the sponsors and we noticed that the games were played on very popular BenQ FP93 2ns displays.
