Rambus slumps after share re-statement

Volatility, it's heard of it
Wed Jul 19 2006, 16:11
THE STOCK PRICE of Rambus (tick: RMBS) took a heavy hit of $2.75 today after it said it is likely to ask to re-state its stock option accounting all the way back to 2003. It also said that will cost it a lot.

The news is far brighter for Intel (INTC). Its share price was up to $18.20 after it delivered its Itanium Montecito chips to the marketplace late last night, UK time.

AMD remained stable at about the $20.60 mark.

Google (GOOG) took a hit of $4 on early trading, possibly related to Yahoo woes or possibly unrelated to anything in particular. Situation normal. Share price stands at a few cents below $399.

Microsoft (MSFT) was up 40 cents on early trading, with sentiment with it for the first time in several weeks. ยต
