Second Lifers hit by First Life storms

That's why they call it the windy city

DEVOTEES of Second Life, the virtual world for people who never got a life first time around, will need more than a second anorak when visiting the Second Life Community Convention (SLCC) conference in Chicago starting today.

The Chi-town has been hit by thunderstorms and what some observers say was a tornado, uprooting tress and taking down power lines.

The good news is that few have been hurt by the dreadful conditions but flight cancellations and general chaos have ensued. Last time we visisted the city of skyscrpaers and Al Capone, the weather was also biblical, forcing us to take cover in that rather fine bar, the Billy Goat Tavern.
