IPHONE OWNERS are beginning to moan that the toy's battery life is about as long as a humming bird's fart.
According to the Guardian, users are getting miffed that Apple's Jesus phone can only last five hours before running out of juice.
This is on top of the problems of dropped calls, faulty chipsets, Apple's broken Mobileme service and the occasional case of the Iphone catching fire.
Some just cannot believe that Apple can sell its 3G Iphone against competition from the Nokia Series 60 phone with its battery life so short.
Apparently the problem is the way the Iphone handles data and internet access. Although Apple built a device that makes people want to use those services it did not think that they might want to use them.
In other words, the smart toy has more features than other smartphones, but it does not have the battery to support them.
Analyst Francis Sideco, from Isuppli, says Apple needed to improve the performance of handsets and make software energy-aware.
Other analysts are predicting that Apple will rush around like a headless chicken working out ways of reducing power consumption on its gadgets including multi-core processors that can be shut down when the beast is just ticking over.
Fortunately for Apple, despite the knowledge that the 3G Iphone was probably not ready to be released and is loaded with problems, punters cannot get enough of them. It seems the marketing is so good they could make it lemon coloured, give it a turkey gobbling ring tone and so long as it had an Apple logo people would still buy it. µ
"In other words, the smart toy has more features than other smartphones, but it does not have the battery to support them."

Last time I checked it had considerably "Less" features than my 18 month year old N95.
Great article, and it's true. Apple has a very good marketing department.
Great lead. Congrats.
Microsoft is doing it for years...so why not Apple too?
Where can I get a turkey gobbling ringtone? I need to get me one of them right now
Apple seem to like sucking the money out of people with their overpriced PCs (Yes a "mac" is a Personal Computer), glorified MP4 players and broken phones. Apple just keeps it all hush hush and hopes no-one notices they've been ripped off. I work in a computer store (that doesnt sell macs) and when customers come in asking if we sell em I just say if you can bring me a legit copy of OSX I can build you a computer that will work exactly the same as a "mac" for half the price...makes them think twice about buyin one
The succes of Apple can be measured on the number of FUD-reactions here... Most of them are pure jealousy of user who never touched a Mac or an iPhone, while most Mac-users come from PC-hell...
you play the music through the loud speaker?

Does the battery life last as long as Apple said it would at the time of purchase, if not then customers can return it for a refund/repair in UK.
If Apple had designed the Jesus Phone to have a swappable battery, battery life wouldn't even be an issue, but perhaps that and every other feature the Jesus Phone lacks that every other smartphone already has, will be in the next version of the iPhone. While you can definitely build a cheaper quality PC to run OSX on you can't build a cheaper laptop to do the same. I have a Mac Blue and White that I've had for five years running with no problems that has only crashed twice. In the same period of time I've gone through 3 PC's and two laptops. You get what you pay for.
You're an idiot. Have you actually used the iPhone? It's awesome. It's revolutionary. It's fast, tactile, smart, intuitive and beautiful. Technology is finally adapting to us rather than the other way around. Anyone who uses one for more than an hour buys one. All this and you whinge about battery life? Your rant is an exaggeration anyway. The phone has more battery life than most other smart phones. I'm no Apple zealot. Just hate poor journalism.
