Western Digital offers three years warranty

At a price

SANTA'S LITTLE HELPERS in Lapland have been undoing boxes containing Western Digital drives and putting little Yuletide cards inside them to cheer up the holiday season.

Inside the retail boxes Western Digital says you can have a three year warranty on your hard drive, all for the low low price of $19.95.

The drives are exactly the same ones that used to have three years warranty on them before WD, Seagate and Maxtor decided their drives weren't as reliable as they'd earlier expected.

At least we presume that's the reason they cut the warranties...

Isn't nature bountiful? µ
