FRENCH COMPUTER OUTFIT, Bull has denied that it has been locked in smoke-filled rooms with the corporate spymasters and makers of computer ink, HP over a possible buy out.

Bull said that HP had not even stuck an offer in the post for the company and it was having to chug along with its glorious five-year plan return to profitability.

Bull Chief Executive Didier Lamouche told a conference call that there were are no on-going negotiations nor any formal offer.

He said he was flattered that the rumour mill tied Bull with the market leader.

The news that HP was not to be full of Bull was not greeted particularly well by the stock market. Shares in the French IBM fell by eight per cent on the news.
