We don't like their sound, and guitar music is on the way out - Decca rejects The Beatles
JUST HOW much could you possibly blow on a mobile phone for Xmas? Well, one jewellery expert – Peter Aloisson – once created one for an impressive $1.3 million.
Yeah. But you'd want a decent handset if you were going to spend that amount of dosh. So how about an Iphone Princess Plus from Peter and setting you back a mere $173,000?
A bit out of your league? Ok. How about $1,600 for a 24 carat gold Iphone from British company, Goldstriker. Some reports say that a limited edition of these gold Iphones was made available for $2,200.
The most expensive handset the INQ could find on the Goldstriker site was, however, a Motorola Motokrkz Roma handset for a cool $30,000.
Interestingly the Roma came with concierge service which the INQ first heard
of when Nokia introduced its Vertu luxury
handset brand. The Vertu site doesn't give much of an idea of price.
However,
handcell.com
claims a Vertu costs over $10,000 – which places it in the world's Top Five most
expensive handsets.
That makes a couple of luxury gold and diamond encrusted handsets
from Obsession look positively
inexpensive. There's two versions: - one at $2,400 and another at $28,000.
Of course, if you haven't got that kind of
wonga, Alcatel makes
the
Mandarina Duck phones which are described as 'fashion phones' aimed at
ladies. No gold; no diamonds and a price tag of just $100. µ
for a moment then I found out the network charges were extra!
I migth be missing something, but
"24ct part gold Apple iphone 8gb £499.95"
Unlocked to all networks sounds like a very good deal (if you can stand a golden phone...)
