THE RISE OF David (Dadi) Perlmutter at Intel continues unabated as the corporation announced that its board of directors promoted both him and Arvind Sodhani to serve as executive vice presidents. It also announced the election of Justin Rattner, Ron Friedman and Ravi Jacob as corporate officers.
President Paul Otellini said all five had made "important contributions to Intel's success and we look forward to benefiting from their continued leadership."
Perlmutter, 54, is executive vice president and general manager of Intel Corporation's Mobility Group. He made his mark developing Intel's platform approach to laptop technology with Centrino. An approach subsequently attempted with less success in desktops. He joined Intel in 1980 after graduating from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, with a B.Sc. in electrical engineering.
Sodhani, 53, is executive vice president of Intel Corporation and president of Intel Capital, while Friedman, 49, is vice president and general manager of the Mobile Microprocessors Group. He also is a graduate from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology
Jacob, 54, is vice president and treasurer of Intel Corporation and Justin Rattner, 59, is vice president and chief technology officer. ยต
