Four year goal not achieved
Wednesday, 26 July 2006, 11:23
THE OPEN DARWIN project is shutting down after four years of operation.

Open Darwin was created, according to the web site, to provide a development environment for building and developing a standalone Darwin OS, as well as a development environment.

But, the note said, it has failed to achieve those goals and over the last few years became just a hosting facility for Mac OS X projects.

The closure note is here. ยต
