THE GOVERNMENT of Western Australia will introduce a three year trial of daylight saving set to start on December 3rd.

But that could throw long suffering IT managers and techies into a cold sweat.

One senior technology guy told the INQ today: "The brainiac wonders who govern (sic) this place have just passed the act to start daylight savings in WA. Starting on the first weekend in Dec. Yes, this December."

In a statement on its website, the sports minister appeared not to notice this. John Kobelke said Western Australian families will now have more time to choose healthy outdoor activities.

"In the days leading up to December 3rd, advertisements would appear in newspapers and on the radio, informing people of the change", said deputy prime minister Eric Ripper. Hopefully, someone will also tell the computers in case they don't read the newspapers. µ
