Vista drivers are a handful

SLI is not easy
Friday, 5 January 2007, 13:47
WE HAD a chance to sniff around and find out what is going on with Nvidia's Vista driver. For once, Nvidia and ATI agree that Vista driver is a real handful and not easy to support.

One of the biggest problems for Nvidia is SLI support while ATI still struggles to make Crossfire right under Vista. Both companies will have a driver ready for the 30th but the clock is ticking away.

Nvidia is concentrating firstly on a 32 bit version but the 64 bit version will follow. People inside Nvidia still thinks that the 64 bit version is less relevant, but I hope that it will change its mind as 32 bit won't address the whole 4GB of memory high end gamers want in 2007.

The wait continues and we have 25 days to go. µ
