More than 20 Aussie words including g'day, sheila, bogan and dag have been voted into the Vole dictionary as part of an online poll on Microsoft's web site.
Apparently most Aussies were knocking office as a bit bodgy because every time they wrote 'G'day', instead of 'Hi' it told them they were sprung and Word would stick a redline under the words.
Aussies particularly wanted words like G'day, sickie, ute, trackies and bogan unchallenged. Otherwise when ever they wrote to their boss "G'day I need a sickie because I pranged the ute, tore me trackies after getting full with me bogan mates over the weekend", the sick note was entirely underlined.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Cathy Jamieson, Spokeshela at Vole Oz said that that including colloquial terms in the Office 2007 dictionary won't turn kids into yobbos who are not the full quid.
She said that there were times for informal language and there are times for formal business language, so she'll be right sport.
