Fake Larry Ellison blog says sayonara

The end of the fakers
Tue Oct 30 2007, 09:46

FAKE LARRY ELLISON has departed the scene after hinting that legal concerns had forced his exit.

The blogger followed in the footsteps of Fake Steve Jobs, giving a humourous commentary on current technology affairs in the manner of the Oracle CEO. He made his final post on 28 October, blaming “some complications with my lawyers and the public relations department”.

Perhaps the faker was pushing matters a little too far with some of his comments (look for yourself, I’m not even going there) but he was funny.

Like this comment on Steve Ballmer:

“Dear xxxx For Brains … I know you laughed at the Iphone and everything, but now 1995 is calling and it wants its phones back. As in, your phones, Stevie. They want technology that actually works.”

Or this on SAP:

“Woo boy. Euro-hippie Henning Kagermann is really strutting his stuff today after writing a $6.8 billion check for Business Objects. I didn't think the dude had it in him, honestly. I didn't think Kagermann could actually spend that much money. I also didn't think he was stupid enough to fall for our jack-the-price-up strategy.”

Or even this on BEA:

“I told Charles to throw an offer together and mail it in to BEA ASAP so we could pop the champaign [sic], fire up the mechanical bull, and start rocking my boats.”

Still, fans of this sort of nonsense can take solace in that, as well as the Jobs blog, there remain fictional blogs in the style of Steve Ballmer, Scott McNealy, and, perhaps the best of the remaining crop, Jonathan Schwartz.

Hmm, does anybdy see any similarities between some or all of these? µ

Ms Foley is Right! "Leopard looks like … Vista"
Back in June, Mary Jo Foley of ZDnet fame wrote a stunningly concise article, "Leopard looks like … Vista". Truer words were never spoken! Many of you peolpe out there do not realize the truth, all software is born at Microsoft, even our competitor's! You see the Apple hackers constantly scour our site for hints of what we are planing for the future, they send spys, moles, fake pizza-boys,... In their desperation they even steal experimental betas so far from production that even most MS employees don't realise that we are developing them. They then slap some of their crappy code under these interfaces and claim to have developed it first.
This is why Leopard and all of the so called versions of OSX over the past 5 years looks like Vista, you see, Vista is the real thing. We just take our time to make sure it is done right before releasing to the public. We care, we take our time, we do stable coding. Don't be duped by imitations.
Ms Foley, you have been backing down, trying to explain, apologising, ... DON'T! Stand strong, tell the truth, you were absolutely right all the time, "Leopard looks like Vista!"

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
