But integrated graphics continues to grow
Wednesday, 20 September 2006, 08:28

A REPORT from Jon Peddie Research (JPR) said that the desktop graphics market was worth $5.88 billion in the second quarter, with ATI and Nvidia continuing to grip the discrete desktop GPU market.

Nvidia has eaten ATI's breakfast for four consecutive quarters but the Radeon 1900 helped the Canadian firm claw back some market share in the second quarter.

The report, Jon Peddie's Market Watch, estimated 51.79 million desktop graphics devices shipped in Q2 of 2006, but 62 per cent were integrated parts with Intel holding 35 per cent of that. µ
