Nvidia originally planned to introduce both mobile and desktop mainstream parts here at CeBIT, but a bird from Redmond flew to Satan Clara to deliver the bad news that the driver could not get WHQL certification.
This has caused a delay in delivery of G84 and G86 on the desktop to April and mobile parts to May. This reminded us of a case when 7800 hardware was failing Shader tests in Microsoft's Display Compatibility Kit. But that hardware got a waiver visa and got WHQL certification. It turns out there is some work to be done in order for G84/86 to be ready.
NB8P or G84M is actually a GeForce 8600 in the mobile version and named Go 8600, while NB8M uses G86M chip, and will be known as Go 8500. Expect at least three to four variants of this chip, just like the GF7600 ended up marked as 7550, 7600, 7650 and 7700.
Now, it seems that "unnamed mobile DirectX 10 part" tucked inside Clevo's machine will not get an outing before May. µ
