AMD's Hector Ruiz trousered $12.8 million in pay

CHIP FIRM AMD's Hector "Safari" Ruiz collected total pay of $12.8 million in 2006 while he also picked up $9.28 million from exercising stock options.

Under the cash long term incentive plan, Hector picked up $1,650,000, Derrick "Dirk" Meyer $195,000, Henri Richard $172,500, Robert River $172,500 and Chief Counsel Thomas McCoy $156,000.

Hector-ruizHector's employment agreement lasted until April 26th 2007, but has been renewed until April 26th next year. Last year, Robert Rivet earned $5,300,159 in total, Derrick Meyer $4,135,215, Henri Richard $3,359,320 and Thomas McCoy $2,814,492 taking all benefits into account.

AMD's share price on NYSE is $14.27. µ
