MAKER OF motherboards and bits, Gigabyte has just released new motherboards for gamers with a Nvidia Nforce 600 chipset under the bonnet.

The GA-N680SLI-DQ6 and GA-N650SLI-DS4 motherboards use the newly released Nvidia Nforce 600 Series chipsets and support for Intel's Core2 Quad processors.

According a press release, the board has been designed for those who like the idea of extreme overclocking and high-definition gaming performance.

By incorporating the Nvidia Nforce 680i SLI MCP chipset, Gigabyte claims the motherboards can provide dual PCI Express x16 connectivity.

This means smoother 3D video rendering and better frame rates, the outfit claims. The board will hit the shops in late December. There is no word on price yet. µ
