Nvidia's 7050s break cover

CeBIT 007 Both Intel and AMD flavours spotted

NVIDIA 7050 BOARDS are all over the place at CeBIT, not in huge numbers, but everyone has one or two. They come in both Intel and AMD flavours, different only by one single letter.

Ecs-7050i

The first one up is the Elitegroup (ECS) MCP73T-M, listed as having a 7050 north bridge and a 630i south bridge. Welcome to the world of embedded graphics. It is an Intel based micro-ATX board without much more to recommend it.

7050a

Next up we see the AMD AM2 variant from Biostar called the TF7050-M2. The huge difference here is the AMD solution has 2 more DIMMs for a total of four.

Call me jaded, but it is really hard to get excited about embedded graphics. On one hand, Nvidia seems to have conquered the heat problem, no copper habitrail running from chip to chip. On the other hand, it is the lowliest of graphics solutions, embedded will never get any respect. In any case, it is out for both AMD and Intel now. ยต
