IF YOU don't want to give away $430 at newegg for an ASUS L1N64-SLI WS Dual Socket L (Socket 1207FX) NVIDIA Nforce 680a SLI MCP SSI CEB AMD motherboard, you should go elsewhere instead.

Excaliberpc.com has the boards in stock for $340 and this is the most realistic price seen so far. You can check here how much you have to spend at the eggplace for the CPU and motherboard.

Once they get to $299 then AMD has a chance with Quad FX. The CPUs are available and you can even buy them separated. It is still beyond us how you can separate the conjoined twins and sell them. One lad from AMD told us that the big customers such as Newegg can sell them however they like - separated or not. It makes AMD happy, as long as they are selling.

Here's where you can buy the board for $340 and at press time it is still in stock. µ
