Israeli Mac users take Microsoft to court

No Hebrew characters for Office
Thu Jun 20 2002, 16:47
WE MISSED THIS on macslash.org the other day, but Israeli users are so fed up with lack of support in Office that they've decided to sue Microsoft.

The story is that even though the local distributor has offered to localise Mac Office, Microsoft has refused to allow it do so.

The reason for Microsoft's failure to localise Office is strange, given that they have a Windows version that supports the Hebrew characters.

Perhaps Microsoft doesn't want its Israeli users to use the Macintosh platform.

Macslash.org, however, points out that it's not really to blame for not letting its distributor localise Office.

You can find the story here. ยต
