Ghost found in aisles at embedded show

Fanta of the opera, so to speak

THE ELUSIVE Phantom console is to go on show at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco in a few days time, according to a report at Gamasutra.

It won't, however, be seen at the Game Developers Conference that runs concurrently.

Excerpts published from an original interview in the Tampa Bay Business Journal quote CEO Timothy Roberts as criticising members of the press and its ex-employees for providing such negative publicity of the console and the Infinium business.

As if to rub salt into those wounds, Gamasutra then give us a nice little roundup of the problems currently plaguing Infinium, including their $21,000 cash crisis, their stock faxing shenanigans, and a lawsuit from a venture capital firm.

Nvidia recently showcased, as the Yankees say, Phantom on its booth at CES, and executives were upbeat about the outlook for the gaming-on-demand console.
