Moto opens kids' space in theme park

FX in Florida

MOTOROLA IS opening M-Lab, a place in Florida where kids can act as inventors and generally discover the wonders of life in high-tech with plenty of FX to keep them stimulated.

M-Lab will be located in Wannado City, which is, according to the press release, ”America's first indoor role-playing theme park for kids … where ‘kids can do what they Wannado'(TM)”. That's right, they can do anything they like so long as they observe the laws on trademarks.

M-Lab will let junior feel what it's like to be a doctor or airline pilot, for instance. No word on the journalist simulator just yet.

The setup is aimed at children up to 12, that age-ceiling suggestion being a smart move by Moto. Get them in there just before they morph into the adolescent “everything is rubbish” stage.

Kids or “M-Ventors” as Moto calls them, wear white lab coats and are immersed in visuals, sounds, vibrations and smells.

All this and Disney World in the same state. Better start saving now, Dad. µ
